The next time someone tries to paint superyacht owners as a greedy bunch who only care about spending money on themselves, tell them about Yacht Aid Global. This terrific charitable organization has been matching megayachts with communities in need worldwide for the past few years. Specifically, its founder, Capt. Mark Drewelow, works tirelessly, as do the crews of the megayachts that participate, to make a difference delivering school and medical supplies everywhere from Alaska to Belize and across the Pacific. I guarantee that after you listen to our interview, you’ll want to get involved – and spread the word.

What's greed got to do with it?

Beyond Yacht Aid Global, I am certain, the aggregate of megayacht owners have donated more money to charities than the aggregate of those that ipso facto accuse them of greed because they own megayachts.

There are mean, selfish characters in this world who don't have money for a rowboat.

And there are some fabulously giving souls, very accomplished financially.

Heraclitus was right; character makes the man.
