Megayacht News was founded in 2007 and continues to be operated by Diane M. Byrne, one of the best-known and highly respected yachting journalists worldwide. She has been covering megayachts since
1993 and is closely involved with the leading professional organizations not just in the yachting field, but also in journalism and entrepreneurship. She is a longtime International Superyacht Society member,
joining the organization in 1995; since early 2010, she has served on the Board of Directors. Furthermore, she is a founding member of the United States Superyacht Association. Since 2008, she has been an active
member of Ladies Who Launch, the leading entrepreneurial organization for women. And since 2003, she has been an active member of the Association for Women in Communications, which presented her with a
prestigious Clarion Award for Best Feature Writing.

Megayacht News was designed by MediaBuoy, a full-service Web design company owned by John V. Turner. MediaBuoy has designed a number of marine-oriented websites, including CharterWave
